Dr Abdulla Al Karam, Director General of Knowledge and Human Development Authority describes the beauty of What Works in its simplicity because teachers, leaders and inspiring speakers come from within the community, which means that the practices and knowledge shared is practical, relevant and most importantly, sustainable. This initiative is very inspiring and encouraging. Since its launch in September 2012, What Works has attracted 120 schools in Dubai. Organized by education professionals from across Dubai’s private schools, this final event of the 2012-2013 academic series, What Worked, was long awaited but very well coordinated. In addition to teachers and student volunteers, representatives from Dunia Young Business Leaders Program, Youth in the Emirates Longitudinal Study, and the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding were also present at the event as Partners to share their expertise.
